Precaria has been featured and reviewed in the printed edition, issue #1 (page 31) of The Anti-Flesh Nimbus Magazine: A Journey To The Dark Side along with big and well known bands like Cult Of Fire, Bestia Arcana, Throne of Katarsis, Serpent Noir, Clandestine Blaze, Grave Miasma and obscure, less known -not for much time- bands like Heretic Cult Redeemer, Impure Worship, Nadiwrath, Aima, Chaosbaphomet and Profane Prayer, featuring also an interview to Daemon Worship Prod. and a review of the Speyer Grey Mass Fest. The review of Precaria Ex Humanitas is entirely written in Greek -as it is the entire magazine- but it included a hand-written translation to English: 

"From the enigmatic Mexico with the ancient traditions that have given us Xibalba, Andramelech & more, comes Precaria, the vessel of Ianzél the Hermit, with an ambitious debut full-length album of 6 tracks and 52 minutes. With such lengthy songs and spanish lyrics from an unknown -until now- band, I don't know how many would dare to dive into the worlds of Precaria, yet those who will decide to do so, will find many things to prolong their presence there. 

First of all its the dry, high-pitch sound, which refers to the old Norway and the devastating drums that instantly suck the listener's attention. Here emerges the "sonic ugliness" that was once so adored in blackmetal circles. Around the middle of the record the rhythm slows down, it even crawls at some point. We are now into the deep, exploring Ianzél's fables. 

I haven't translated all the lyrics yet, but the latin title stands for something close to "The Precarious Position of Humanity". As for some sparse and short acoustic passages, they have nothing to do with pompous keyboards; on the contrary, these grisly chord plucking intensify the morbid atmosphere. Well done Mexico!"

Precaria - Demo 2004 (The Controversy)

"Demo 2004" wasn't recorded in 2004. It was recorded between december 2010 and march/april 2011. Then why is it called Demo 2004? Because the idea was born at that time. 75-80% of the song structures were made in that year and the other 20-25% parts were done within 2005 and 2006. Music, lyrics and even these scanned tape covers up here were made in that period which I refer as "the dormant period of the band". I began what could've been a pre-production, although the music was never recorded and I started to have timing issues with the drummer Aggula back then. We could not rehearse enough so the songs weren't ready to be recorded and in the further years I simply gave up on it. Aggula had some issues happening in his homeland El Salvador and left Mexico for a long time.

This technically makes Precaria exist since that time even if we never played live. That's why 'we alleged that the band was created on that year'. But if you want to base your beliefs on what the "local and global scene" say (yes sir, global! I wonder specifically who conforms it...?) then you'll erroneously believe Precaria was created in 2010 because everyone started seeing the project active until I got the actual drummer (Opposus) and we began to play live. Objectively, Precaria started as an idea which remained On Hold/Inactive for many years until I found this drummer who got interested on it and allowed the band to debut in a live setting in mid 2010.

I used the artwork that was originally made for the demo and released it to 25 (white) tape copies, as it was meant to be. As the artwork was not modified, Aggula appears there as the drummer, but who performed the drums in the recordings was Opposus Discordia. Then there's just one more question: Why was it released until August 2013? It wasn't only released until 2013 but also mixed and mastered until 2013. As some know, in October 2011 I lost all my gear (let's call it for it's name, it was robbed). Right now it would be pointless to explain again what happened with that person (many of my closer contacts and even OpsiusCato -moderator of Encyclopaedia Metallum- know about this case very well). The point here is that there was no more audio interface, no more laptop with Logic Studio. My guitars, amps and effects, everything was stolen by her, taking advantage of my naive error of leaving my stuff with her meanwhile I was settling on a stable place to live that wasn't an acquaint's house. This person even used my instruments for her "bedroom depressive projects" called Painless Death, Dreariness, Oppressive Light and Stay in Negativity (I don't know if she has more and I don't care).

In 2013 I had pretty much recovered in some degree and getting a new laptop helped me to finish the mixing and master of the sessions with the backups I stored on mediafire (I always store everything on 1 or 2 servers, life experiences have made me cautious on that). So the tape was finally out and now I can be focusing on all the pending stuff from more or less 2008 to the actual day. When will this finish? Never. The day I stop transforming dark energies into musical form is because I am probably dead.

The obscure shape of this entity.

I shall officially announce that as of late 2013 Precaria has undergone a transmutation from a live duet to a complete line-up band. 

Being the following: 

Hermit Ov Tehom - Guitars, Vocals 

Opposus Discordia - Drums 

Necrum Caprio - Guitars 

J. Stolkin - Bass 

We walk the path of the enlightened as a major emissary of death, completely devoted to our black purpose in existence. 

For the humiliation of humanity!

Year of recovery.

Being at exactly a year after the pitiful event that affected not just me, but the band, I considered announcing that to date, 2012 has been a year of 'recovery' in the most important aspects of life, not only the musical one, but well, that's more personal... I've been working hard to get what is indispensable for me such as the guitar and of course, a place to live...

There is also more material composed for Precaria, very complex and aggressive/oppressive songs planned for future releases. I'm currently working on "Fragilitatis Humanae Profunda Atrissima" and "The Penitential Process of Nigredo", two compositions we're already playing live and just need some final polishing. But before taking them into a release, we still have a pending album to see the light: Precaria Ex Humanitas, still in recording process and I also been wanting to release the old unreleased demo tracks so there's nothing pending in the list. Those are 4 tracks which are already recorded, they just need mix work and I don't have a PC now so they're on standby.

Loss

We have suffered an incredibly tragic and ridiculous 'event', as a band... I can only say that now, I do not have anything, no stable place to stay, no instruments or gear, almost no money, everything that was material was taken from me by a 'person' that deserves utter hatred for as long as I'm alive. Seems that sooner or later everything turns on my opposition, against me... This life is full of obstacles, its just so absurd! I'll be working my way to recover at least what I really need.

The Rebirth of Precaria

It had to be this way, I knew it... Precaria has been reactivated, a new drummer came in the right moment. Since last year I've been composing a lot of material that has all the essence of what is Precaria. In this precise moment there are 6 songs entirely finished, we have began to rehearse a lot, and will be playing live in local gigs, I'll also be trying to record everything, so we can release it as soon as possible as a well deserved full album, at last! I'm really convinced that this is the beginning of a colossal thing to come.

Narcotic Isolation: Ambient Black Metal

Narcotic Isolation is a project I just started with Lennart Wiltens, a friend from Holland. His alias will be any of these: Noctiis/Narcose/Corvixius, mine will be Nihiliztikvoid. We're an 'international project', we exchange ideas and audio files by email. As I am just starting to get stuff that is needed to record, our first release will most likely delay for a while unless Lennart records over there. The style is still a bit abstract but we want to produce a demo tape out of black metal and ambient improvisations under the influence of certain substances. Our focus will be entirely 'contemplative' as the concept is somewhat introverted and sensitive, there will be a lot of ambience and atmospheric guitar melodies made with extreme reverb...
