List of the bands that have influenced me throughout time

These are all bands which have been an intimate part of my life since long enough to make an impact as an "influence" of mine. I'm leaving out some bands I currently like because they have not been around long enough to consider them as influences. Take into consideration that I started making black metal riffs and lyrics in the year 2004, so it is natural that my main influences are not old (for example 60's-70's music), but rather semi-contemporary bands (90's & 00's). This list is my way to say thank you to all these bands. They've provided with hours of deep art to contemplate. There are many more bands I like, an example is Akhlys (from the mastermind behind Nightbringer/Bestia Arcana), Suspiral and Sheidim (great new Spanish bands), but I've not listened to them for enough years to consider them an influence. There are also many bands in the list which I don't listen to anymore, like Xasthur and Life is Pain, but when I was young they influenced me for years, so I had to include them to respect the objectiveness of this list.

I might update the list in the future to include those bands I'm into nowadays, when I spend enough years listening to them to consider them influential.

Shenüjajen Zine #1 - Entrevista a Precaria (Interview, Feb '17)

Shenüjajen Zine, de procedencia Chilena. Zine totalmente dedicada a presentar bandas que aportan al arte oscuro con autenticidad. En esta primera edición se incluyen entrevistas a Precaria, Malthusian, Zhrine, Vircolac, Uada, Myst, Concatenatus, Diabolical Messiah, entre otros... Y una buena cantidad de reseñas a discos recientes del black y death metal.

Aquí algo de la ideología detrás de esta zine:

 "No perseguimos el renombre ni la masificación. No buscamos la aceptación del pseudoexperto, del sabio autoproclamado ni del trve que pulula en el pináculo del exhibicionismo virtual, vomitando bilis, doble discurso y oscurantismo.

El Metal extremo es un arte, y debe ser analizado bajo la mirada de quien al menos aspira a la objetividad; aborrecemos el juicio dogmático y fundamentalista de fanáticos obtusos e intransigentes que reprochan la multiforme gracia de la música y sus diversos mensajes y posibilidades. Negar el avance y la evolución a través de las épocas, es una inconsecuencia deleznable arraigada en la ignorancia y la terquedad de quien se niega a entender la vida misma. Aquellos puristas, de ser consecuentes con su discurso, deberían al menos limitarse al folclore, o en su defecto, a las manifestaciones más primitivas y tribales de la humanidad, aquellas que cristalizaron la manifestación musical primigenia de cada pueblo.

Aborrecemos a los cavernarios. La música extrema es consecuencia de años y años de evolución musical, estética e ideológica, y seguirá su curso a lo largo de los eones: quien no quiera aceptar esta verdad fundamental está condenado al más ignominioso escarnio como retrogrado.

Somos seres pensantes que perciben la estética de la fealdad, hurgamos en la oscuridad del ser humano, probamos, digerimos y luego dirimimos sin presunciones, ni pretensiones de imponer nada a nadie: De gustibus non est disputandum. Las bestias que no entienden esto y deambulan en las cloacas de este pútrido sonido deben ser domesticadas o ignoradas, como el resto de la escoria ignora que vive en el lumpen."

Sin duda una postura bastante firme y pura, que hace aún más honorable haber sido entrevistado para Shenüjajen Zine. La fecha de la entrevista fue al rededor de Febrero del 2017, y con zoom se puede apreciar la mayoría del texto.

This is a well done webzine hailing from Greece; it has a good amount of interviews including Caïnan Dawn​, Liber Null​, IXXI​, Dauþuz​, Inferno Requiem​, Sekhmet and more. It also contains reviews of various black metal albums, obscure films and even the guitar tabs for Watain's "Hymn To Qayin".

Qliphomantia (Ritualistic Black/Death Metal Project)

Last year (2015) I lost my live members for Precaria one of them due to a -private- life reason and the other due to his lack of commitment and didn't reunite what the band demands. This led me to an undesired lapse of silence in which there wasn't much online communications nor live activity.

I've been composing a lot material for the next albums of Precaria, the list of pending releases is only growing and growing. I've been forced to filter my compositions and categorize them differently -as I'm delving deeper on the black arts of Death-, the energy remains evil as always and very black but Precaria works better with very dynamic structures and a concept of aversion towards the White Light of the Demiurge and it's prime reflection which is Mankind-. I'm on the need to channel the other part of the energy, which demands more freedom in the compositions' structures and holds a concept that revolves mainly around Death itself, not only on it's chthonic form, but also on it's cosmic/anti-cosmic form, the omnipotent dark force by which everything cycles.

Rather than an "Attack from the internal to the external", as Precaria is, this is more like an "Embrace to Death from the inside to the innermost", therefore, I've been slowly breeding this project called Qliphomantia, which doesn't limit itself to sound like black metal. Of course it sounds black, but it also crosses the borders to death, doom, atmospheric and experimental territories. It could be considered a horrific experience to any outsiders who might stumble upon it's deathly aura. While I'm Hermit Ov Tehom with Precaria, I'm Qliphos with Qliphomantia.

As time has passed I doubt more and more that I'd do anything else with my old project Desesperanza due to my views not being the same as those I had near a decade ago which fueled it's essence. Qliphomantia has been taken with my hand while I hold Precaria with the other hand and Desesperanza is just hanging on my back. This has been a period of cultivation for the mind, soul and beyond allowing me to experience an externalization of ideas like never before. It is only a matter of time until Qliphomantia reveals it's glory. For now, I shall continue the harvesting on my isolated path, in the shadows.
